Minecraft is one of the most popular sandbox games in the genre. It was initially released in 2009 and is now available on most platforms, including iOS, Android, desktops, and consoles.

Gameplay 5/5

Minecraft is one of the best sandbox games available. Its gameplay is incredibly easy to learn and really addicting at the same time. At the start, you are given almost nothing, and you are completely free to explore the vast realm filled with dangers and treasures.

The whole world of Minecraft is made of various blocks. You can break them with different tools to gather resources later used in crafting. You can also create blocks to use them in the building. The best thing about Minecraft is the number of discoverable resources and craftable items: you can create about 400 different tools, weapons, or other objects.

Graphics 4/5

Minecraft does not have realistic graphics, but the game does not actually need them. The style selected allows the developers to make their game both unique visually and optimized. The world is made of blocks, and the pixel style graphics perfectly suit that concept.

Visuals might not appeal to everyone, but they have a great effect on optimization. The game is available on most platforms, and some servers even allow cross-play.

Replay Value 5/5

The replay value is pretty big in Minecraft. First of all, there are hundreds of craftable items and different blocks that offer big exploration opportunities. Even if you craft every single item, there will still be something for you to do in the game. The building is so exciting that you will easily find yourself spending hours on creating a new construction.

Controls 5/5

The controls are also rather comfortable on all platforms. Breaking blocks and placing ones for the building is easy, and the inventory management is not complicated as well. The hotbar allows you to quickly access the most used items, which saves lots of time.

Conclusion: Most Loved Sandbox

Minecraft is a perfect sandbox game. It gives you a set of opportunities and sets you free to explore its vast realms. The building is great, crafting is interesting, and the world exploration is adventurous as well. The game is not free to play, but it gives hundreds of hours of entertainment, so it is definitely worth buying.

Game Highlights:

  • Unique visual style;
  • Hundreds of blocks and items to craft;
  • Building is very addicting.
